Meandering Ken: Wandering down Buckhorn Draw

I did a little wandering down Buckhorn Draw in Utah, north of exit 131 on I70 (shown as exit 129 on some maps). It goes from I70 on top of San Raphael Swell (6600') down to the San Raphael River (5100'), then climbs back up to the north to the top of the Swell again (5600'), before dropping down to Utah route 10 at Castle Dale. A very nice drive if you are more interested in scenery than in making time. The grades are not steep but the canyon walls are. The bluffs down near the river are vertical for many hundreds of feet. Just north of the river there is a bit of rock art right next to the road. Most of the art is too high to reach from the ground so it has not been vandalized. The artists either were VERY tall or they used ladders. The figures themselves were quite tall, around 5 or 6 feet head to toe. The bottoms of the figures were 8-10 feet up the rock wall.
