No pictures in Alaska to post, as the smoke is so thick I can't see anything beyond the next tree.
It seems that most of the state except the southeast section is on fire. The visibility here in the Fairbanks area is less than a mile. I know there are mountains around here but I can't see any of them. The smoke goes all the way to Prudhoe Bay so I won't bother going up there, its a 500 mile long dead-end road.
I'll head down south to see if its better on the coast of the Gulf of Alaska. Of course rain is forecast for the forseeable future down there.
