Seward

Seward is on the east side of the Kenai Peninsula, at the end of Resurrection Bay.  Exit Glacier, part of the Harding Icefield, is just north of town.  Seward is a fishing town with tourism as its 2nd industry.  It is known for its murals painted on the sides of buildings downtown. 

Being on the bay, which opens onto Prince William Sound, its also cold, wet, and cloudy most of the time.  The waterfront is too low for permanent buildings (less than 10 feet above high tide) so they made it into a large park.  Much of it is parking for RVs at $15 a night, and that is where I stayed.

The campsite itself was nothing to take a picture of, just a gravel parking lot between the street and the water, with half a gazillion RVs parked side by side.  But it was just a short walk downtown for a burger and beer and some sightseeing.
